ANTARCTIC DINNER
Canadian P.M. Main Guest ' (Frotfi Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, May 12. The Prime Minister of Canada (Mr Pierre Trudeau) will be the principal guest at an (informal Antarctic dinner at the Russley Hotel on Thursday night, the host of which will be the Minister of Science (Mr Taiboys). The Secretary for Foreign Affairs (Mr G. R. Laking) will also attend. Other guests will be those noted in New Zealand's Antarctic effort. They will include:— Dr E. I. Robertson, assistant Director-General, D.5.1.R., and chairman of the Ross Dependency Committee: Mr R. B. Thompson, superintendent, Antarctic Division, D.5.1.R.: Mr L. B. Quartermain, Anrctic historian; Professor G. A. Knox, department of zoology. University of Canterbury; Professor R. H. Clark, professor of geology, Victoria University of Wellington; Mr C. Clark, a former leader at Scott Base: Mr A. J. Heine, [of Lower Hutt, leader of [glaciological research. Should any of these prove [to be unavailable on the [night, Messrs J. Holmes MilIler, of Wellington, and Dr iG. A. M. King, of Christ- ; church, will attend.
