Yeoh Keat Clive Wins Table Tennis Tourney
The Malaysian university player. Yeoh Keat Chye repeated his opening inter-club win over Wong Chee Kong to win the final of the under-21 boys’ singles in the Canterbury junior table-tennis tournament yesterday. Both players attacked continually. Yeoh narrowly defeating Wong. 21 14. 12-21. 23-21. Miss B. Taylor continued to prove her superior form by beating her sister. Miss C. Taylor. 21-13. 21-13. to win the final of the girls singles. W Hind gave another good display to beat M. Burrowes in the under-17 boys singles, but was beaten by the promising K. Palmer in a semi-final of the under 15 Then, to prove table tennis is a game dependent on style. Palmer was beaten by Burrowes in the final.
