FIREARMS QUESTION

Commissioners Statement (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 1. The Commissioner of Police (Mr G. C. Urquhart) today denied that he regarded the department’s rules governing the use of firearms as not of public interest. Mr Urquhart confirmed today, however, that he did not intend to “spell out” for the public police instructions on the use of firearms.
