League Team Unchanged
The Canterbury Rugby league team to play against New South Wales Country at the Show Grounds on Wednesday will be the same as that which lost, 13-18 to Wellington last month.
However, B. Jager (Hornby) has been reinstated to the training squad and will be an addition to the reserves. Jager, who has played seven matches for Canterbury in the last two seasons, has represented Southern Zone and a South Island XIII, and toured New South Wales with the New Zealand under-23 team last season.
The convener of the Canterbury selection panel (Mr E. Butts) said last evening that the 1969 Kiwi wing, M. P. Brereton (Marist-Western Suburbs), had been ruled ineligible for Wednesday’s match.
Brereton made his debut for Marist-Western Suburbs against Addington on Satur-
