CAPPING STUNTS

Drink a jug of beer and! run a quarter of a mile, then drink another and run the distance again—this is what! the 26 competitors in a race organised by the University of Canterbury capping committee had to do yesterday. Called the Clarendon "Chunda" Mile, the stunt was held at the Ham sports ground before a crowd of about 1000, according to the I capping committee’s stunts controller (Mr S. Taylor).
