Debutante Ball

Eight debutantes were presented to the president of the Christchurch High School Old. Girls’ Association (Mrs G. Miller) at a ball held on Friday evening.

The debutantes were Misses Lynda Beckham. Marilyn Cox, Margaret Edwards, Jan Hammond. Catherine Helps, Judith Holmes. Sandra Hooper and Robyn McMillan. Specially invited guests included Miss J. D. Prisk. the school principal: Mrs W. Hanlin, deputy-principal; Miss E. I Cornyns Thomas: Mr P. Halligan, representing the school board of governors, and Mrs' Halligan: Mr and Mrs A. J. Stove, school parent-teacher association: and representatives of the following kindred associations: Avonside Girls’ High School, Christchurch Boys’ High School. RangiRuru School, St Margaret’s College. Acland Old Girls’ and the Young Old Girls’ Associations.
