Guild’s 24th Birthday

The Townswomen’s Guild of Christchurch North celebrated its twenty-fourth birthday last week at a special meeting. The president Mrs R. S. Smith and the committee welcomed guests including the dominion president Mrs C. Crawford, and two members from the dominion executive Mrs R. Allison and Mrs C. Smith. Eleven residents from the Resthaven Eventide Home also attended and a member of the staff from Templeton Hospital, Miss E. Burt. A senior member of the guild, Mrs M. F. Mcßae cut the birthday cake and birthday entertainment included elocutionary items, singing and dancing.
