LONDON, April 16.

The Conservative Opposition financial critic, Mr lain Macleod, today criticised Britain’s new Budget but said that the Conservative Party would not vote against the tax concessions it proposed.

“One does not shoot even a one-legged Santa Claus,” said Mr Macleod In a Commons debate on budgetary proposals introduced yesterday by the Chanellor of the Exchequer (Mr Roy Jenkins).
