GAMES NOMINATIONS Top Marathon Runners Omitted By Selectors

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. The marathon runners, D. C. McKenzie (Greymouth) and M. R. Ryan (Tokoroa), were surprise omissions from the Commonwealth Games Athletics nominations announced last night.

Neither C. Daly nor L. D’Arcy, the sprinters who featured in the Kenyan controversy, have been nominated. Daly showed outstanding form at the end of the season but this has apparently not impressed the selectors.
