ATTACK ON CONSUL

Two Suspects In Custody (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter— Copyright) RIO DE JANEIRO, April 7. The police have arrested two men suspected of being members of the group of five men who shot and wounded the United States Consul (Mr Curtis Cutter) during a kidnap attempt in the South Brazilian town of Porto Alegre on Saturday. Radio reports say that one of the men was treated at a local hospital for injuries which he might have received after being hit by Mr Cutter’s car. Mr Cutter was resting at home today after doctors had removed a bullet from his shoulder.
