Reward Offered Mr W. A. Pickup is offering a reward for information leading to a conviction of those responsible for the theft of $l5OO from his home at 1 Clarendon Terrace last Friday afternoon. He said yesterday that he would pay a $250 reward “off his own bat and not -through any insurance company” for information leading to a conviction, and would also pay 10 per cent of any of the $l5OO recovered after a conviction. The robbery was carried out by two men, dressed in white coats, with stockings over their heads. Taxi Licences Taxi services in the Christchurch district will be reviewed at a public sitting of the Christchurch Transport District Licensing Authority on April 23. A report on taxi services will be made to the authority by the Ministry of Transport. Copies of this report have been circulated to the parties concerned and its contents are confidential until it comes before the authority. The review may lead to the granting of more taxi licences. Legislation requires the review to be made at intervals of no more than three years.
