Quads Born In Sydney

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Coppriphtj SYDNEY, April 5. Quadruplets were born yesterday to a 24-year-old Sydney woman, doctors at Crown Street Women’s Hospital announced this morning. They said the children, two boys and' two girls, were born eight weeks prematurely to Mrs Pauline Upton, who already has a son, aged six, and a daughter, four and a half. The quads weigh between 21b 15oz and 31b 9oz and are in the hospital’s intensive care unit being treated for respiratory distress. The hospital said their outlook was "reasonably satisfactory." It said the births were spontaneous and not the result of fertility treatment.
