Ecuador Loses To Colombia (N.Z. Press Ann.— Copyright} BOGOTA (Colombia). Colombia knocked Ecuador out of the Davis Cup tennis tournament preliminary rounds, 3-O, when J. Velasco and I. Molina defeated M Olvera and F. Guzman 6-2, 7-5, 1-6, 9-7, on Sunday. The Colombians won the two singles matches. In Sao Paulo, Brazil took a 2-1 lead over Chile in the Davis Cup tennis eliminations, as the Brazilian doubles team, T. Koch and J. Mandarino defeated P. Cornejo and J. Fillol 64, 64, 10-12, 64. The winner of the best-of-five series will be determined today, when the two remaining singles contests will be played. The other two singles matches were divided.
