Drug Ring Arrests

Stockholm police say they have cracked their most dangerous drug league so far. It was led by American military deserters. The league suspected of smuggling into Sweden 20,000 tablets of the hallucinatory drug LSD worth about $171,500 on the narcotics market. Inspector Arne Bergdahl, of the narcotics squad, said [three American deserters had [so far been arrested—one of ‘them, believed to be the ring- ; leader, in Copenhagen—and [at least 10 more were under suspicion. “This is definitely the most [dangerous league we have uncovered in Scandinavia,” he said.
