Two New Works

AUCKLAND, March 20.

Two Auckland companies hope to have export beef killing facilities working at Cambridge and Whangarei within 18 months. The two works will have a combined killing capacity of 640 head a day. The Meat Board yesterday recommended to the Minister of Agriculture that the two companies, plus a third intending to start a works in the King Conutry, be given permission to go ahead with ■ their plans.
