(N.Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 27. The number of persons unemployed in New Zealand dropped further in the fFTst twj weeks of this month. .. The Minister of Labour (Mr Marshall) said in a statement today that total unemployment registrations with the Labour Department decreased by 219 to 1599 between January 30 and February 13. “A strong demand still exists for skilled tradesmen and good, fit, unskilled men throughout the country,” the Minister said. District totals included (the previous fortnight’s figures are in parentheses): Blenheim 1 (2), Nelson 15 (11)), Grey mouth 08 (68), Christchurch 279 (369), Timaru 17 (12), Oamaru 14 (16).
