Mr R. D. Middleton, president of the Kaikoura Al and P. Association, farms 3800 acre* of river Hat* and • hill country under 4000 feet.; in the Clarence Valley; His-.stock comprises commercial Corriedate sheep and Hereford cattle. Mr Middleton ha* been a committee member of the association for the past 30 yean and his father was a member from 1930. Mr Middleton lakes a keen interest in local affairs, being an executive member of the Ohau Rabbit Board and the Clarence Bridge School Committee. He is also a member of the local search and rescue unit. He says that this is the 58th show. It Is always a happy opportunity for both town and country people to join in the picnic atmosphere qf this display. -Smaller country shows are having some difficulty In keeping afloat but it is encouraging to have the support of so many exhibitors to make this a successful occasion for 1970, said Mr Middleton.
