Two-Year-Old Sold To Aust.

A dose relation of the brilliant miler, Cheyenne, i has been sold by the Kiccarton owner-trainer, Mr V. D. 1 Clutterbuck, to Mr F. i Chandler, who owns the i Seddon Park Stud in Westi ern Australia. Mr Chandler’s purchase is a two-year-old colt by Mellay from Cheyenne's sister, Ara- . pohe. This youngster will be flown from Christchurch to , Australia early next month, and will be raced for a seai son before going to Mr Chand- , ler’s stud. Mr Chandler has also pur- \ chased the seven-year-old, ■ Captain’s Command, winner , of 13 races for the Dunedin owner, Mr E. H. Young. Captain’s Command (by , Messmate) was recently retired to stand at Mr and Mrs B. J. Anderton’s White Robe Lodge at Wingatui after a brilliant sprinting career. His major victories were the : Stewards’ Handicap and Members’ Handicap at Riccartoa, the Railway Handicap at Trentham, and the Ashburton 1 John Grigg Stakes and Southland Guineas.
