Taupo Totara Profit Up In an interim report, the directors of Taupo Totara Timber Company, Ltd, say that although profit for the period increased, they foresee a steady result for the year. The turnover increased by 12 per cent on a market characterised by the continued intensive competition which has been evident over the last two years, particularly in the housing field. From all workings, taxpaid profits for the half-year were $115,422 (before audit). This compares with $98,033. On the basis of trading to date, the directors forecast ■ results comparable with those [of last year.
