Scramble At Tinwald Most members of the South Island motor-cycle scrambles team to contest the interisland championship early next month will compete in a special charity meeting at Tinwald on Sunday The scramble, organised by the Ashburton Motor-cycle Club on the property of Mr P. Hulme, is in aid of the St John Ambulance Brigade. Among those competing will be G. J. Stapleton (Christchurch) the New Zealand 250 c.c. and South Island miniature T.T. champion and R. Austin (Ashburton), who recently won the South Island Gold Star open and 500 c.c. championships at Timaru. Other riders going to Tinwald are A. Sabiston, P. Doecke, R. Happer (all Christchurch), 1. Bodrer (Timaru), and C. Shaw and J. Shand (Dunedin).
