Justifiable: Justified
Firemen who answered a call in Christchurch yesterday were not required at that call but their journey became really necessary on the way home. I Called to the premises of the New Zealand Insurance ■ Company. Ltd. Hereford ~ Street, at 11.8 a.m. after a light fitting had over heated, they found that a member of the staff had turned off the electricity and had to take no action. ! However, on the way back to headquarters a traffic officer stopped them because he had noticed petrol spilling from the filling cap , of a parked car. The fireI men hosed the petrol away.
