HELP FOR REFUGEES
N.Z. Team In Vietnam <N Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 10. The third New Zealand Red Cross Society welfare team is now in South Vietnam taking over from the second team at Qui Nhon in the Binh Dinh province, according to a statement from the societv tonight. The team is taking over approximately 10,000 refugees lin temporary villages within i 10 miles of Qui Nhon. ; Preliminary assessments received from the society’s commissioner in Saigon show that these villages are overcrowded, the drains choked with rubbish, with consequent health problems necessitating urgent action. The team comprises Mr J. F. Gordon, of Wanaka, leader and agricultural adviser, Mr R. A. Christie, of Wanganui, mass care officer and team secretary, Mr R. W. Wright, of Christchurch, rehabilitation officer, Mr P. E. Nicholls, of Eltham, sanitation and transport officer, and ’Miss M. C. McTamney, of Mas- , terton, nurse.
