Savings-box Numbers
It was too easy for savings boxes issued at present by the Post Office to be deposited into an account other than the owner’s, Mrs R. Weir, a member of the Mid-Canterbury branch, said at the W.D.F.F. conference. She was speaking to the remit, “That the Post Office Director of Savings be asked to have numbers stamped on savings boxes to enable them to be registered with the owner’s savings account.”
