(N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM. W. E. Taylor, the driver of Tippytin in the first division of the Hillersden Handicap at the Marlborough >, Trotting Club’s meeting on Saturday, was fined $25 for careless driving. An inquiry was held into an accident involving Tippytin and Laura. Evidence showed that Tippytin hung and bumped Laura, causing Laura to put its foot through the wheel of Tippytin’s sulky. Scotch Penny a starter in this division, broke when in the lead after about a furlong, disorganising the field. The horse was declared ineligible to race at totalisator meetings up to and including March 7.
