Accessory Charge

A 46-year-old woman was arrested at the Christchurch C. 1.8. office at 8 p.m. yesterday on a charge of being accessory after the fact of the murder of Phyllis Agnes Colthorpe. The arrest was made by Detective Sergant N- JStokes. The woman, who is lodged in the cells at the Central Police Station, will appear in the Magistrate’s Court this morning. William George Colthorpe, aged 46, a factory supervisor, of 40 Wychwood Crescent. Bishopdale, was remanded to a hospital until March 6 under section 37 of the Mental Health Act. when he appeared before Mr H. J. Evans. S.M., at a special sitting of the Magistrate’s Court on Saturday morning on a charge of murdering his wife.
