Dr H. A. Brant, formerly of Christchurch, has been appointed by the London University Senate to the position of reader in obstetrics and gynaecology in the University College Hospital, London. He was previously lecturer in obstetrics and gynaecology. Mr W. E. Carter, editor of the national farming newspaper “Straight Furrow,” and information executive for Federated Farmers, has been appointed executive manager of the New. Zealand Woolbuyers’ Association. Mr Carter was associate editor of the “New Zealand Meat Producer” from 1963 to 1966, and before that was an agricultural reporter for “The Press.”
