Chamber Music Contest

Record entries were expected for this year’s schools chamber music contest the president of the Chamber Music Federation of New Zealand (Mr A. Hilton) said on Thursday. The contest, organised in co-operation with the Department of Education and sponsored by the Bank of New South Wales, is open to groups of from three to six players who are at secondary schools on June 30. Entries for the competition, which last year attracted 120 groups, will close on April 30. As in the other five years (the bank has sponsored the : contest, it will sponsor a programme design contest for which entries will close also lon April 30.
