Booked Out Of Own Hall
Mr J. M. Hargreaves told the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce last evening that the chamber had been so successful in letting its own hall that it had booked it to another organisation for evenings on which the chamber itself normally met.
As a result, from May to August the chamber will meet on the first Tuesday in the month instead of the first Wednesday. The president of the chamber (Mr J. M. Tocker) said that the hookings had been entered by a new member of the staff and by the time the error had been discovered the other organisation was committed to the dates.
