“Pill” Critics Attacked

A University of Wisconsin social scientist said today that scientists who had criticised contraceptive pills recently were “probably mon who unconsciously don’t like the new sexual freedom the pill offers women,” United Press International reported. Professor Martin Loeb, said research indicated the pill was no more dangerous than pregnancy and child-bearing for the great majority of women. He said women are susceptible to the alarming testimony because of the laws and taboos against contraceptives, most notably those of the Roman Catholic Church.
