(N.Z. Press Association) HASTINGS. The touring Arizona All Stars softball team, beginning to show the effects of a strenuous programme of travel and games, went down, 1-3, to Hawke’s Bay last evening. The main-stay of the home side was the pitcher, O. Walford, who gained 11 strikeouts and conceded only five bits. J. .Tillings, Walford and B. Jefferies scored for Hawke’s Bay; J. Russian!, for Arizona. Earlier, the Arizona team had beaten Wairarapa, 54, after being taken to nine innings.
