SENIOR OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST DUTIES: The successful applicant will be responsible for the activities of a team of O.R. analysts engaged in a wide range and variety of projects. QUALIFICATIONS: Tertiary qualifications with a strong emphasis on mathematics and statistics are required. Formal training in operations research would be an advantage. Applicants should have had at least five years’ operations research experience and three years’ supervisory experience. SALARY: Attractive commencing salary will be negotiated to suit qualifications and experience. In addition a bonus and prosperity loading of $1352 per annum will be paid. Duties: carry out applied research in the wide field of building materials, covering metals, plastics, adhesives, paints, timber and building components. Testing of materials for fire resistance would also be a major aspect (d) Degree in Chemistry with Physics an advantage. Duties: assist in carrying out applied research into the physico/chemical behaviour of bituminous materials. In particular to study their rheological properties and relationship of these properties tothe performance in pavements.
