Not even the offer of 850,000, a brand-new car and a replica of his vintage model could part a Palmerston North vintage-car enthusiast from his Doble steam car. Mr B. T. Rankine, a 33-year-old technician at Massey University, reluctantly confirmed that he had re- , ceived the offer from America for his car. But he said he hod no intention of selling.
