(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL. After the running of the Members’ Handicap an objection was lodged against the first placing being awarded to Cainard (R. Cameron) on the grounds of interference to Stomp (K. Balloch) about seven and a half furlongs from home. After hearing evidence from Cameron, Balloch and D. M. Kerr, jun. (Solomon), and viewing a film of the race, it was decided to relegate Cainard to second and promote Stomp, which had been second the post, to first.
