One Killed, 25 Hurt In Road Accidents
A youth was killed and 25 others were injured in road accidents in and near Christchurch during the week-end. Three of those injured were admitted to hospital.

Mrs Muriel Behrns, of 51 Neill Street, Christchurch, ■and Kenneth McDonald, of the same address, suffered head injuries. Mrs Behrns was admitted to the Burwood Hospital, where her condition last night was satisfactory. Mr McDonald was discharged from the Christchurch Hospital after treatment
Mr Risk was the only occupant of his car, which was travelling south. Mr McDonald was the driver of the other car.
Anyone who saw the accident is asked to get in touch with the nearest police station.
Fall from Scooter—When he fell from his motor-scooter in Glandovey Road about 12.30 a.m. on Saturday, Hamish Templeton, of 396 Papanui Road, suffered chest injuries. sion between a motor-cycle and a car in Springfield Road about 1.5 p.m. on Saturday, Phillip Atkinson, of 32 Croziers Road, suffered a cut hand. He was discharged after treatment Car Hits Pole.—Two women were injured when a car hit a pole in Blenheim Road near Hansons Lane about 3.55 p.m. on Saturday. Miss Michelle Fleming, of 35 Tuckers Road, suffered a head injury and Miss Mana Pauline Te Wake, of 25 Hamner Street, suffered head and leg injuries. Miss Fleming was admitted to the Princess Margaret Hospital, where her condition last night was satisfactory. Miss Te Wake was treated and discharged.
Cars Collide.—Head and chest injuries were suffered by Rodney Maxwell Woods, of 40 Forth Street, when two cars collided in Hazeldean Road about 5 p.m. on Satur-
day. Mr Woods was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital, where his condition last night was satisfactory. Mrs Edith Burton, of 49 Redruth Avehue, suffered a leg laceration. She was discharged after treatment Two Suffer Cute—Two men were injured when two cars collided near Middle-Lincoln Road about 455 p.m. on Sat, urday. Kevin Norman Ward, of 165 Boon Hay Road, suffered a head laceration and Noel James Ward, of 83 Hoffman Street Hokitika, suffered lacerations to the head' and legs. Both were discharged after treatment Women Injured.—Two women were injured when two cars collided near the corner of Holly Road and Caledonian Road about 5.56 pan. on Saturday. Miss Laurell Schotz and Miss Elaine Boyle, both of St Margaret's College, 71 Papanui Road, suffered minor injuries and were discharged after treatment Motor-cyclist Hurt—When his motor-cycle ran into a ditch, Peter Douglas Hubbard, of 2 Redwood Place, suffered a head injury. hit a pole outside 7A Dyers Pass Road about 7 p.m. on Saturday. They were discharged after treatment They are Graham James Crawford, of 11 Afton Street Gore, who suffered a leg injury; Bruce William Davis, of Rata Street Gore, who also suffered a leg injury; and Ewan James McLeod. of 19 Whareora Terrace, who suffered a head laceration.
Five Injured^—Five per. sons were injured when two can collided near the earner of Barhadoes Street and Ferry Road about 12.50 a-m. yesterday.
