(N.Z.P. A.‘Reuter-—Copyright) KIMBERLEY. South Africa has announced four new caps in its team to play the visiting .Australians in the first cricket test, starting at Cape Town on January 22. The team named by the selection committee includes one surprise, the omission of the wicket-keeper and batsman, D. Lindsay, replaced by D. Gamsy.
The team Is: A. Bscher (captain), E. Barlow (vice-captain), G. Chevalier, D. Gamsy, T. Goddard, L. Irvine. G. Pollock. P. Pollock, M. Procter. B. Richards, K. Seymour. A. Bruynes twelfth man.
