AUCKLAND, Dec. 22. During the shipping strike, aircraft carried record tonnages of cargo ‘across the Tasman in November. The tonnage flown to Australia in November exceeded 1500 tons for the first time, ■and 336 tons went the previ- : ous month.

Airline officials said today that the December figure would also be more than 500 tons.

Eight charter flights by jet freighters were called in to deal with the backlog of cargo during the height of the Wainui dispute last month. This coincided with the peak demand for airI freight space.
