(From Our Own Reporter) TIMARU, December 8. The 31ft Nelson fishing boat, Vital Spark, left Timaru at 9.30 a.m. today for Akaroa, hugging -the coasttine At from” seven to 10 fathoms. A week ago, the craft Was in difficulty off the Canterbury coast until her position was fixed by shore radio stations and the Royal New Zealand Air Force, and she was escorted back to Timaru by the i fishing vessel Moray Rose. The boat, which was without the use of echo-sounder and compass while she drifted in fog for the greater part of 48 hours last week, is . headed for Motueka.
