BOY KILLED BY CAR

(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Nov. 11. A boy died in the New Plymouth Hospital early today of injuries suffered when he was struck by a car in Waitara yesterday. He was Steven David Wilmshurst, aged five.

The Waitara police said the accident happened about 4.30 p.m. The child ran from between two parked cars and was knocked down. The police said the driver saw the child run out but was unable to stop because of a mechanical failure to his car.
