THIS 100YD SKI SLOPE, 30ft wide at the top and 40ft at the bottom with a 50ft drop, has been built by the British Army at Aidershot, Hampshire. The slope is surfaced with plastic matting and will be used mainly for military training. The club-house and floodlighting cost £10,000. Miss D. Calica, the British international ski-team member who made the first run on the new slope, is shown at the top during the opening ceremony.
