Brierley Leap Not Explained
The directors of the unlisted R. A. Brierley said yesterday they had “no knowledge of any recent change or development to account for the rise” in the company's share price, the Press Association reports. The shares closed yesterday at 170 c on northern exchanges after touching 195 c in Wellington in erratic trading during the day. They began the week at 150 c, a rise of 23c on their close last Friday. There have been no sales in Christchurch this week.
