Preu AUoeutlvn) ' HAMILTON, Nov. 10. , A man was fined $2OO when he pleaded guilty in the Hamilton Magistrate’s Court today to assaulting a man help, ing a victim of a previous assault into a car. Half of the fine imposed Oh ' Manu Clair Taituha by Mr T. B. Mooney, S.M., was made payable to the complainant, William Robert Kerr. Mr Kerr was helping another man into a car outside a party in Pine Avenue on Saturday night when he was attacked by three Maori youths, said Sergeant G. F. Wicks. Two fled when police arrived, but Taituha kept kicking his fallen victim. Mr Kerr suffered cuts and bruises to his head, said Sergeant Wicks. Taituha, aged 20, told the police that he was helping his friends. The other two attackers were not found, said Sergeant Wicks. Taituha said he did not know why he kept kicking Mr Kerr.
