DISPOSAL OF SLUDGE
Objection To Area The Christchurch City Council has objected to the Drainage Board's intention of taking about 81 acres in Dyers Road for sludge disposal. The council contends that the land is unsuitable and that its use for sludge disposal would be contrary to its planning scheme. There is adequate land elsewhere for the disposal for sewage sludge, the council says in its objection which has been lodged with the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board.
