Danielson Signs For Sydney League Club
(N.Z.P.A. Staff Correzpondent;, SYDNEY. The New Zealand Rugby ! league test forward, O. G. Danielson, has been signed; on a three-year contract by! the Sydney club, Newtown. The coach, Mr H. Bath said yesterday Danielson is expected to move to Australia in January, but refused to give any financial details. “Danielson was being paid by Newtown and that’s a matter betiveen the player and the club,” he added. However, the set transfer of $BOOO for New Zealand internationals had been paid to Danielson’s club. Mr Bath added that if Danielson was signed again at the end of the three-year period New Zealand would get $lOOO
a year for however long he continued to play in Sydney. Mr Bath travelled to New 'Zealand earlier this year to I negotiate with Danielson but the Kiwi then decided not to transfer. 1
