Application For Flats

The parish priest of Riccarton (the Rt Rev. T. J. Liddy) has applied to the Riccarton Borough Council for a specified departure from the district planning scheme to build four self-contained single pensioner flats.

The application is to build the flats at 11 Puriri Street, near St Teresa’s Church, on a section of 24.1 perches. Objections to the application will close at the council office on November 13.

Monsignor Liddy yesterday declined to comment on the application. He said the project in mind was still in the exploratory stage.
