More Ships Delayed
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 23. The number of Union Steam Ship Company ships strikebound in Auckland continues to rise, with no sign of a settlement. The dispute involves the refusal to employ a seaman on board the freighter Walnut Talks today between the two parties appear to have failed.
Ten company ships are now held up in Auckland because their crews refuse to put to sea until the dispute is settled.
