Le Filou Retired
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Ths champion sire, Lo Filou, 33 years old, has been retired. His progeny have won more then $1,600,000 in Australia and Now Zealand. Confirming Lo Fllou’s retirement tonight, his owner, Mr J. Macky, sold the vetoran stallion had sorvod no mares this season, but that several had fooled to him from IMt coverings. Le Filou, a French-bred bey by Vatellor from Fllouse, by Coeterarl from Dlseuse, by Dlomedes, began stud duty at Mr Macky'e Flrongla Stud In I*sl.
