! Opening Next Month I A church hall being built (for St Saviour’s Anglican (church, Sydenham, will be ■ opened and dedicated by the (Bishop of Christchurch (the ;Rt Rev. W. A. Pyatt) on November 29. | The hall, which will seat (about 350 persons, will comiplete the second stage of the parish’s building programme (The first stage—the $BO,OOO i church—was opened last November. The vicar of Sydenham (the [Rev. J. F. Ellis) said that it 'was still not certain what the (final cost of the new hall (would be, but it was estimated to be $30,000. The parishioners had raised about $60,000 towards the two projects. ! Mr Ellis said that the third stage of the plan would inI elude the building of Bible [class and Sunday school rooms. No plans had been made, however, to start this 'project for some time.
