PAY RISE AGREED
Electricians In Wellington (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct 14. The Wellington Electrical Contractors Association and Wellington branch of the North Island Electrical Workers’ Union signed an agreement today providing for a ruling rate of $1.28 an hour, and half an hour’s travelling time daily. The association and union announced the agreement in a joint statement this afternoon.
the new conditions are the result of some months of friendly negotiations and are similar to those now applying in Auckland.
