FISHING BREACH

(N.Z. Press ■ Association) WELLINGTON, October 13. The Japanese authorities would be asked by the New Zealand Government to take disciplinary action against the Japanese vessel which infringed the fishing agreement yesterday, the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said today. | This decision had been made after an investigation of the report that a vessel had infringed the agreement at Ohope Beach, near Whakatane, Mr Holyoake said. “The infringement was a serious one, as it appeared that several dories had been fishing dose inshore, little; more than 150 yards from the , beach. “A thorough police investi- ! gation dearly established that the dories belonged to a mother ship licensed under the agreement—the Ryosei! Maru No. 1.”
