Forecast: Canterbury.—Moderate winds, northeasterlies about the coast, south-westerlies predominating inland; some cloudy areas but mostly fine and sunny, with slowly rising day temperatures. Outlook: mainly fine. West Coast.—South-westerlies, strong at times in the far south, occasionally fresh elsewhere; variable skies, with scattered light showers; cool. Outlook: some showers. Nelson.—Moderate winds, south-west-erlies predominating but sea breezes developing near the coast; fine, with moderate afternoon temperatures. Outlook: fine. Marlborough.—West or north-west winds, fresh near Cook Strait, otherwise moderate; fine, and mild by the afternoon. Outlook: fine. CHRISTCHURCH READINGS
